ASimpress, IT equipment outsourcing company, like notebooks, smartphones and printers, announced an ambitious logistics decentralization project with the creation of 7 hubs and 50 mini-hubs in the main capitals and regions of Brazil. The company has more than 600 thousand devices allocated in companies across the country such as Pague Menos, Cobasi, Yamaha, Hermes Pardini, Dasa and Harald. In many cases, the equipment from Simpress is used in critical operations, how a stationary device can impact sales, in patient care or in the continuity of business. Simpress delivers a device every 12 seconds, which totals about 3 thousand deliveries per day, 60 thousand per month and over 700 thousand per year, for customers across the country. When all transactions are considered (receipt, shipping, transfer and withdrawal, this number rises to 2,5 million per year – among new equipment, supplies, spare parts for maintenance, etc
It is an extremely efficient process, but complex, that until recently was done from three distribution centers of Simpress in Itajaí (1), in Santa Catarina, and in Osasco (2), in the metropolitan region of São Paulo. Over the past few years, as the company grew rapidly, multiplying your revenue and the number of equipment allocated to your clients, Simpress has designed a project for the decentralization of its logistics operation, which gains momentum with the inauguration of hubs in Santa Catarina, Holy Spirit, Brasília, Paraná, Ceará, Bahia and Rio Grande do Sul, in addition to the mini-hubs throughout Brazil
Some changes and transformations are inevitable and the increasing adoption of the outsourcing model for IT equipment by companies is one of them. It doesn't make sense, financially inclusive, for a company, buy a computer or laptop and have to take care of it over time. The advantages of outsourcing are so many that, from the moment a company starts, she does not go back on this model. We are confident that we are close to a turning point, in which the outsourcing of notebooks and smartphones will become dominant, just as that of printers became more than two decades ago in the country, when we were pioneers in this business model, affirms Vittorio Danesi, CEO of Simpress. "Today, our churn is already very low – less than 0,5% per year –, and offering a complete solution that generates great approval from our clients is a satisfaction for us. With the new hubs and mini-hubs, about 85% of the emergency demand for parts and equipment will be met locally with even more agility and efficiency
In 2023, Simpress discreetly inaugurated the first hubs in Brasília, Santa Catarina and Espírito Santo. With the good results achieved, the company gave the green light for the expansion and strengthening of the project in 2024, with the creation of new hubs. The next units will be in Curitiba, Porto Alegre, Fortaleza and Salvador, with operations starting now in January 2025. The 50 mini-hubs are located in capitals and smaller cities, in which Simpress has important operations, making deliveries viable within hours after the order. For strategic reasons, the company does not reveal the locations of the mini-hubs. With the new spaces, Simpress guarantees that the devices (such as notebooks, PCs, tablets, printers, smartphones and data collectors) are made available more quickly to a larger number of customers across the country
With 60 of the 100 largest companies in the country as clients, Simpress's outsourcing solution goes beyond leasing: it offers complete management and delivery of customized and ready-to-use devices, including ongoing support and monitoring to ensure optimal equipment performance. In cases of breakage or theft, the restocking is quick, minimizing impacts for the client. The company stands out for its service throughout Brazil, with aggressive SLA and comprehensive solutions that integrate multiple services. Furthermore, security is prioritized to ensure efficient management and protect the device park
Currently, the company meets the outsourcing demands of more than 4.200 of 5.570 Brazilian municipalities, what represents 75% of the cities and 95% of the population of the country. Simpress uses different modes of transport – airplane, ship, car, motorcycle and bus –, with its own fleet (part of it electric) and outsourced, in addition to logistics partners, to ensure fast and efficient deliveries and to adapt to the specific needs of each region. The deployment of hubs and mini-hubs will expand this coverage, крім як збільшити здатність реагувати Simpress, minimize transport time and reduce carbon emissions, aligning with sustainability goals. The measure also reduces delivery costs, once it saves shipping, since the new spaces will be closer to the customers.
