Leading businesses in Brazil is not easy at all. And, for women, is even more challenging due to the lack of support, solitude of high positions, lack of self-confidence and these points have led to their discouragement and giving up, mainly those in social vulnerability. Because of this, to increase the female presence in senior positions of organizations and make the leadership journey easier, a MentorHer, mentoring platform that connects women individually and online, signed a partnership with Unibes (Brazilian-Israeli Union for Social Welfare), social institution with 109 years, that serves children, youths, families and elderly people in situations of social vulnerability
For every two paid mentoring sessions, a young person between 15 and 29 years old, that participates in the vocational courses of Unibes, will be formed by the MentorEla Program for professional training, developed exclusively for the Institution. The goal is not only to empower them to secure a position in the job market, as well as for them to feel secure to climb to better positions in the company's hierarchy and achieve successful careers
We want these girls and women to have real opportunities to achieve careers that allow them to improve the reality in which they live. This approach is crucial because it not only offers a path to financial stability and personal fulfillment, but also promotes a cycle of empowerment and autonomy, explain Roberta Tilkian, partner of MentorEla
With a duration of three months, the partnership with Unibes has the capacity to reach 300 girls per year and will involve the implementation of two programs with ten group mentoring sessions, totaling 15 hours per program. The topics covered are quite broad: self-confidence, personal image, strategic exposure on social media, impact design, guidance for job interviews, happiness in everyday life, financial organization, work-life balance, innovation, planning and goal setting
"When these girls, that comes from a situation of social vulnerability, find support and training, and thus has the conditions to earn a place in the job market with dignity, they become successful role models and inspiration for others in similar situations, creating a multiplier effect that can transform not only your own lives, but also their families and communities. By investing in your potential, we are helping to build a fairer and more promising future for everyone.”, says Liora Alcalay, president of Unibes
Operating mechanism of the Mentorela platform
In the operating model of MentorEla, mentors share their knowledge to help further expand the horizons of women who lead teams or run their own business. "As mentorees pay a much more affordable price than the actual value that these mentoring teams charge for mentoring", highlights Roberta
On the platform, the mentees can choose the topic of interest for the mentoring, that involves everything from finance, leadership, innovation, self-knowledge, технологія, among others, or the mentor who is more aligned with the moment of the mentee's journey
The mentoring sessions are conducted online and the mentors do not need to block their schedules for the platform. We developed a mechanism that works on demand, at the time of hiring a mentorship, mentors are automatically notified so they can suggest date and time options. Everything automated and practical, explain Roberta
Access to top professionals in the market, whose experience and recognition are widely respected, adds positively to the life of those who wish to take the next step in their career. These mentors not only provide valuable guidance, but they are also deeply committed to the success of their mentees, providing clarity and direction to navigate challenges and achieve your professional goals, finalizes Daniela Graicar, founding partner of MentorEla
A MentorShe also serves companies, through customized mentoring programs, focused on executives of companies from various sectors. According to Roberta, in addition to individual mentoring, the team has developed programs for companies looking to connect their executives with external mentors, oxygenating your teams. "Furthermore, we promote talks and lectures with our mentors at the request of the companies. Our platform allows for all this 'match' to be made quickly and personalized, details Roberta
Furthermore, also maintains its partnership with the Movement They Lead 2030, initiative of the UN Global Compact and Brazil Network, for the realization of the 2nd edition of the Mentorela Program. This program is aligned with the goal of ensuring that 50% of senior leadership positions are held by women by 2030
