The GTPW certification has existed since the 1990s and is present in more than 150 countries around the world and, on average, it takes a year to be carried out through the Trust Index workplace research. The central focus is to support and certify organizations that promote the best work environments
Companies that wish to participate register and it is their employees (anonymously) who evaluate their work experiences, through a questionnaire of 60 questions, that assess five dimensions of people's experience involving Credibility, Respect, Impartiality, Pride and Companionship. With the questions answered, a cultural audit gathers assessments from both workers and their leaders at higher levels
All answers are calculated through a system of algorithms that determines the location of each organization in the final ranking. The data science used in GPTW is audited by the institute's headquarters, located in San Francisco (USA), and subsequently by the international accounting firm Grant Thornton
