The Chinese platform Temu has reached an impressive milestone in the Brazilian e-commerce market, surpassing giants like Shein, Samsung and AliExpress in less than a year of operation in the country. With over 151 million visits in February 2025, the company recorded its best monthly performance since its arrival in Brazil in May 2024.
The imported sector as a whole had a remarkable performance in February, registering 320 million accesses – the second best result in its history, only behind January of this same year. Temu was the main driver of this growth, being the only one among the five largest companies in the sector to show an increase in the number of accesses.

The success of Temu is even more significant considering the difference to its direct competitors. The platform surpassed AliExpress, second place in the imported ranking, by a margin of approximately 77 million accesses. In the overall ranking of the largest e-commerces in Brazil, Temu has already surpassed almost all Asian competitors, positioning itself just behind Shopee, that takes second place.
While the imported goods sector thrived, February was a challenging month for Brazilian e-commerces in general. None of the 18 sectors analyzed showed growth compared to January, that had recorded historical records for various segments.
Mobile trend on the rise
Another relevant market data is the consistent growth of visits via app, that increased 11,37% compared to the same period last year, while web visits declined 0,55%. Currently, more than 78% of all access to e-commerce in Brazil is done from mobile devices, confirming a trend that has been driven by the brands themselves.
The case of Temu illustrates how a company can, in record time, to achieve a prominent position in the competitive Brazilian e-commerce market, challenging established players and changing the dynamics of the import sector.
