A Simpress, IT equipment outsourcing company, registered almost double the number of sustainable equipment (used) shipped to clients in the outsourcing system, of 8,9 thousand units in 2023 to 16,7 thousand units in 2024, an increase of 87,6% – among notebooks, printers, data collectors, thermal printers, cell phones and tablets. The use of used items contributes to the circular economy as it extends the lifespan of devices and reduces waste generation. Customers who choose sustainable equipment also benefit from maintenance and repair included in the service, without having to worry about the hardware.
The shipping and receiving of equipment takes place at the SSC (Simpress Service Center), in Santana de Parnaíba, São Paulo. To achieve full reuse of devices and meet the growing demand, Simpress implemented, in 2024, a third work shift (between 10 PM and 6 AM) in the PC Lab that operates in the SSC. The sector is dedicated to the review and preparation of returned devices, making them ready, with more speed, for new contracts
Furthermore, Simpress is the first company in its segment to offer the neutralization of carbon emitted by the electricity consumption of the equipment used by its clients. The company's goal is, by 2030, be with 100% of the installed base neutralized. In addition to carbon offsetting and promoting the circular economy, the outsourcing model offered by Simpress takes care of the proper disposal of devices and reduces the unnecessary acquisition of new equipment
Jump in shipment volume
Throughout the year 2024, Simpress also doubled the number of shipments of refurbished and used equipment to customers across Brazil, after expanding its logistics capacity and optimizing internal processes. The average monthly volume of shipments increased from 750 to 1.400 devices.
The increase in the volume of shipments at the Simpress Service Center is due to various reasons, how the moment of warming in the outsourcing market, the operational efficiency of the company and the layers of service added to the equipment, as monitoring centers and security control systems. The capillarity of our technical support also contributed to the results, affirms Georgia Rivellino, Marketing director, Simpress Products and Solutions.
