A Simpress, IT equipment outsourcing company, like notebooks, smartphones and printers, announced an ambitious logistics decentralization project with the creation of 7 hubs and 50 mini-hubs in the main capitals and regions of Brazil. The company has over 600 thousand devices allocated in companies across the country such as Pague Menos, Cobasi, Yamaha, Hermes Pardini, Dasa and Harald. In many cases, Simpress equipment is used in critical operations, how a stationary device can impact sales, in patient care or in the continuity of business. Simpress delivers a device every 12 seconds, which totals about 3 thousand deliveries per day, 60 thousand per month and over 700 thousand per year, for customers nationwide. When all transactions are considered (receipt, shipment, transfer and withdrawal, this number rises to 2,5 million per year – among new equipment, inputs, maintenance parts, etc
It is an extremely efficient process, but complex, which until recently was done from three distribution centers of Simpress in Itajaí (1), in Santa Catarina, and in Osasco (2), in the metropolitan region of São Paulo. Over the past few years, as the company grew rapidly, multiplying your revenue and the number of equipment allocated to your clients, Simpress designed a project for decentralizing its logistics operation, which gains momentum with the inauguration of hubs in Santa Catarina, Holy Spirit, Brasília, Paraná, Ceará, Bahia and Rio Grande do Sul, in addition to the mini-hubs throughout Brazil
Some changes and transformations are inevitable, and the increasing adoption of the IT equipment outsourcing model by companies is one of them. It doesn't make sense, financially inclusive, for a company, buy a computer or laptop and have to take care of it over time. The advantages of outsourcing are so many that, from the moment a company starts, she does not go back on this model. We are confident that we are close to a turning point, in what way will the outsourcing of notebooks and smartphones become dominant, just like that of printers became more than two decades ago in the country, when we were pioneers in this business model, claims Vittorio Danesi, CEO of Simpress. "Today, our churn is already very low – less than 0,5% per year –, and providing a complete solution that generates great approval from our clients is a satisfaction for us. With the new hubs and mini-hubs, about 85% of the emergency demand for parts and equipment will be met locally with even more agility and efficiency
In 2023, Simpress discreetly inaugurated the first hubs in Brasília, Santa Catarina and Espírito Santo. With the good results achieved, the company gave the green light for the expansion and strengthening of the project in 2024, with the creation of new hubs. The next units will be in Curitiba, Porto Alegre, Fortaleza and Salvador, with operations starting now in January 2025. The 50 mini-hubs are located in capitals and smaller cities, in which Simpress has important operations, making deliveries viable within hours after the order. For strategic reasons, the company does not reveal the locations of the mini-hubs. With the new spaces, Simpress guarantees that the devices (such as notebooks, PCs, tablets, printers, smartphones and data collectors) are made available more quickly to a larger number of customers across the country
With 60 of the 100 largest companies in the country as clients, Simpress's outsourcing solution goes beyond leasing: it offers complete management and delivery of customized and ready-to-use devices, including ongoing support and monitoring to ensure optimal equipment performance. In cases of breakage or theft, the restocking is quick, minimizing impacts for the client. The company stands out for its service throughout Brazil, with aggressive SLA and comprehensive solutions that integrate multiple services. Furthermore, security is prioritized to ensure efficient management and protect the device park
Currently, the company meets the outsourcing demands of more than 4.200 of 5.570 Brazilian municipalities, what represents 75% of the cities and 95% of the population of the country. Simpress uses different modes of transportation – airplane, ship, car, motorcycle and bus –, with its own fleet (part of it electric) and outsourced, in addition to logistics partners, to ensure fast and efficient deliveries and to adapt to the specific needs of each region. The implementation of hubs and mini-hubs will expand this coverage, in addition to increasing Simpress's responsiveness, minimize transportation time and reduce carbon emissions, aligning with sustainability goals. The measure also reduces delivery costs, once it saves on shipping, since the new spaces will be closer to the customers.
Simpress is currently the IT equipment outsourcing company with the greatest reach, supporting operations in all regions of Brazil, inclusive in remote locations. Our logistics operation is unmatched and a major competitive advantage today within the outsourcing segment. Now, with the hubs and mini-hubs, we take the next step in terms of quality. This is a transformative project for Simpress, with the potential to further enhance the customer experience with IT outsourcing, says Carlos Pulici, vice president of Operations of the company. "The presence of Simpress in so many municipalities is supported by a robust logistics", supported by transportation partners and advanced technologies. The hubs and mini-hubs help us strengthen Simpress's reach as decentralization not only reduces delivery time but also improves customer satisfaction, that can count on an even closer and more agile service.”
Simpress also implements artificial intelligence in inventory planning, ensuring that the hubs and mini-hubs are always ready to meet local demand. AI allows for automatic inventory balancing, without manual intervention, optimizing replenishment and avoiding excesses or shortages.
With hubs and mini-hubs strategically positioned throughout the country, Simpress not only transforms your logistics but also redefines the end-to-end service model in the sector. This new structure is a bold move, that puts the company ahead of the demands of an increasingly demanding market, in which the speed of response is a major differentiator. For Simpress, it's not enough to deliver technology – it is necessary to be one step ahead in logistics and, but still, in the customer experience. In this way, Simpress redefines what it means to be a leader in IT device outsourcing in Brazil. In this scenario, constant innovation and local presence become central pieces of an increasingly dynamic and competitive game
