The Central Bank revealed, this Monday, what the Pix, instant payment system, set a new record for daily transactions last Friday, day 5. According to the institution, an impressive 224 were recorded,2 million transactions in just 24 hours, surpassing the previous mark of 206,8 million, reached on June 7 of this year
Besides the number of transactions, the total amount transacted by Pix also reached a historic level for a single day: R$ 119,4 billion. This amount highlights the growing adoption and trust of Brazilians in this payment method
In an official statement, The Central Bank emphasized the relevance of Pix as a public digital infrastructure, able to promote financial inclusion, foster innovation and drive competition in the payment services sector in Brazil
