    Santander launches first steps course for financial education

    Santander will empower anyone looking to get their finances in order and take the first steps to start a business or invest. The bank launched a course on introduction to financial education, free, with easy-to-understand language and short duration. There are nine classes that, combined with supplementary materials, total five hours of content

    The course validates the joint resolution number 8 of the Central Bank of Brazil, that guides all institutions authorized to operate by the BC, to offer financial education measures for their individual clients and sole proprietors, including individual microentrepreneurs (MEIs)

    "We promote", for more than 10 years, 100% free financial education for individuals and companies of different sizes, as well as a more strategic outlook for entrepreneurs who are just starting out, even when your business is just starting out, says Franco Fasoli, director of Companies and Institutions at Santander and responsible for the Avançar Program

    About the free financial education course

    The program addresses ways for efficient management of personal budget, evolving into tips on investments or for those who wish to start their own business. The highlights of the course are the concepts of how to control the money that comes in and goes out (cash flow management), action plans for those in debt, a practical guide to start building an emergency fund or to achieve a dream, in addition to the conscious use of credit

    The last two classes are more geared towards those who want to invest, multiplying the capital you already have. The course concludes with a basic introduction theme for first-time entrepreneurs, with knowledge of the use of banking solutions, even how to set a price for the service or product that will be offered by the future business

    All the content was developed by specialists from the Avançar Program, entrepreneurial education program that is close to completing 10 years. Since 2015, The bank has already informed more than 200 thousand people, through online courses and in-person events that it promotes throughout the country, in the municipalities furthest from the major urban centers

    Gabriela Bertol, Head of Sustainability at Santander Brazil, highlights that this training is yet another example of how Santander is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) until 2030.
