In celebration of Women's Month, ABcripto (Brazilian Association of Crypto Economy) announces the launch of the initiative "Blockchain Without Barriers: The Female Voice in Crypto Economy", a series of online meetings, focused on strengthening the female presence in the crypto sector. Starting on April 8, the initiative takes place every Tuesday until May 20, from 5 PM to 6 PM, bringing together industry experts to share knowledge and encourage women's participation in the world of cryptocurrencies and blockchain. According to data from the Federal Revenue Service, July 2023, women represent 15% of the people who invest in cryptocurrencies in Brazil — but this scenario is changing. The cryptocurrency sector is growing exponentially, bringing new opportunities and requiring greater diversity. In light of this context, ABcripto aims to provide an accessible space for learning, exchange of experiences and networking, strengthening women's engagement in the cryptocurrency sector.
"We want to broaden the debate and create more opportunities for women in the crypto sector", that is still predominantly male. With this initiative, we seek to provide knowledge, "open doors and encourage female participation in this constantly evolving ecosystem", Renata Mancini stands out, vice president of the Board of Directors of ABcripto.
The meetings will be led by industry experts and will cover everything from the basic concepts of the crypto universe to more advanced topics, as digital security and decentralized finance (DeFi). Over seven modules, themes such as asset protection will be explored, investment strategies, purchase and storage of cryptocurrencies, in addition to guidance on how to avoid scams and frauds. There will also be a module dedicated to women's participation in the crypto market, highlighting the construction of networks and the enhancement of results.
ABcripto reaffirms its commitment to disseminating knowledge and encouraging female presence in the crypto universe. The initiative aims to democratize access to essential information about blockchain, digital assets, regulation and safety, empowering more women to explore the opportunities in this growing sector.
